The first thing you should know about Bertch, is we look ahead. Whether it’s construction, conservation or creating a collection of investments, everything we do has the big picture in mind. For us, that means truly considering the long-term impact of a project, not only for us, but the people involved, the people it serves and, of course, the planet.

Our passion is grounded in patience. But once we commit to something, we drive our work forward with the kind of energy that comes from truly believing in its potential. Since our family’s first venture in wood, we’ve always had a pioneering spirit. We approach every project with a determination to excel and execute at a higher standard, beyond the norm. Because that’s just the Bertch way.

/Sustainable practices

Bertch Timeline

1998

Acquisition of ranchland properties. Restored natural path of Cameron Creek and restored riparian area with over 80,000 plantings. Improved grasslands with weed control and seeding program.

2009

Bertch Capital was officially formed and made its first industrial property acquisition with the objective of investing in high quality long-term industrial assets.

2010

Portfolio construction continued with the acquisition of two industrial projects and a newly constructed office/flex property.

2012

Acquisition & disposition of multiple value-add projects.

2018

Completed development of a 16-acre site with the construction of a two-building 192,000 sf industrial project.

2020

Completed development of Phase 1 of a challenging 75-acre site with construction of a 230,000 sf project. Project was 100% preleased and won the 2020 NAIOP Industrial Speculative Development of the Year.

2021

Expanded conservation efforts with acquisition of 11,000 acres of mixed fir and pine forest.

Partner

Greg is responsible for strategic initiatives, acquisitions, dispositions, development, and leasing. He holds a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering from Northwestern University and a M.S. in Finance from Seattle University. Greg is a Midwest native and an avid pilot in his spare time.

Jeff is responsible for timberland, ranchland, and sustainability. He holds a B.A. in Business from Seattle University. Jeff is a Midwest native and an avid traveler in his spare time.
